Neutradex for Greyhounds is a palatable caramel flavoured mild diuretic and acid neutralising syrup for dogs, supplied in a 1 L bottle. It aids in the prevention and treatment of acidosis and dehydration in racing greyhounds.
- Each 4 mL dose contains sodium acid citrate 1.13 g
- Buffers acid build up in muscle cells and helps prevent muscle soreness after fast work
- The sodium content stimulates the thirst reflex, encouraging the dog to drink
- Daily dose: 4 mL mixed into food or milk while the greyhound is in hard work
- After racing: 6 mL mixed into the next feed, or given over the tongue with an oral syringe
The manufacturer advises the after race dose for at least the first morning after a race, and preferably the two mornings following a hard race. Greyhounds suffering from dehydration also need a supplementary daily dose of electrolytes. Ensure an adequate supply of cool, clean water is available at all times. Read the label before use.
