Feeding questions
How much hay? Burgess puts feeding hay at 85 to 90 percent of a guinea pig's diet, and rabbits are the same: unlimited grass hay in front of them all day, changed when soiled. Lucerne (alfalfa) hay is higher in protein and calcium and suits growing, pregnant or nursing animals more than a sedentary adult.
