Southern Cross Feeds Eureka Equestrian Complete is an oats free complete feed for horses of all categories, supplied in a 20 kg bag. The manufacturer states it can be fed as a complete feed where no additional feed is required, with pasture and hay readily available.

  • Crude protein 13 percent, crude fat 3 percent, crude fibre 11 percent and 15 MJ per kg digestible energy
  • Cooked and flaked barley, maize and lupins, with sunflower seeds and canola oil
  • Built in lucerne and oaten for a high fibre content, which the manufacturer notes suits drought conditions when hay is expensive
  • BioPAK live yeast culture giving both prebiotics and probiotics
  • Fortified with a Southern Cross Feeds vitamin and mineral premix

Introduce gradually over 7 to 10 days alongside your current feed, and match the amount fed to workload, reducing it on days off. The manufacturer feeding guide is 2 kg to 4 kg a day for light work, 3 kg to 5 kg for medium work and 4 kg to 8 kg for intense work. Feed adequate roughage, at least 5 kg a day, and provide clean fresh water at all times.
