This is the same non medicated ProfeSTART electrolyte powder from ProviCo Rural, pre measured into single dose sachets. ProviCo now lists the product as ProSTART.
- Each sachet holds 60 g, which is the quantity ProviCo mixes into 2 L of clean warm water at 40 degrees Celsius
- Sugars at a minimum of 610 g/kg and salts of volatile fatty acids at a minimum of 140 g/kg
- Sodium chloride at a minimum of 80 g/kg, plus potassium, functional fibre and vitamin C
- Withholding period: nil
Calves and foals take 2 L per head, 2 to 3 times daily for 2 to 3 days. Lambs, kids and crias take 100 to 200 mL per head. Supplied as a trade box of 20 sachets.
