ProfeSTART Electrolyte Powder is a non medicated isotonic energy and mineral salt supplement from ProviCo Rural, fed to rehydrate young stock. ProviCo now lists the same product as ProSTART.
- Sugars at a minimum of 610 g/kg and salts of volatile fatty acids at a minimum of 140 g/kg
- Sodium chloride at a minimum of 80 g/kg, plus potassium, functional fibre and vitamin C
- ProviCo mixes 1 part powder to 33 parts water, or 60 g into 2 L of clean warm water at 40 degrees Celsius
- Withholding period: nil
Calves and foals take 2 L per head, 2 to 3 times daily for 2 to 3 days. Lambs, kids and crias take 100 to 200 mL per head. 2 kg bucket.
