ProfeLAC GOLD is a MEDICATED calf milk replacer from ProviCo Rural. Our supplier lists it only as a calf milk powder, so read the medication note below.
- Contains Bovatec (lasalocid) at 100 mg/kg, an ionophore coccidiostat
- ProviCo warns that Bovatec is toxic to dogs and horses and directs that products containing it are NOT fed to those animals
- Premium dairy powders with a vitamin and mineral premix, prebiotics, probiotics, natural betaine and Celmanax
- Withholding period: nil
ProviCo recommends about 1.5 percent of calf bodyweight as solids per day. Feed at about 38 degrees Celsius and never above 40. 20 kg bag. For animal use only.

How much per calf per day? ProviCo's guidance is about 1.5 percent of the calf's bodyweight as milk solids per day (a 50 kg calf needs 750 g), mixed at 13 to 15 percent dry matter and fed at about 38 degrees, never above 40, with ceilings of 1.1 kg a day for Holsteins and 0.9 kg for Jerseys.
Is it safe around other animals? No for dogs and horses: ProviCo states Bovatec (lasalocid) is toxic to dogs and horses and products containing it must not be fed to them.
