Keratex Hoof Hardener is a penetrating liquid hoof treatment from Keratex, a family run business based in the United Kingdom. An application brush is supplied.

  • Ingredients: aluminium chloride hexahydrate, glycerine, formaldehyde, ethyl and methyl alcohol and methyl salicylate
  • Keratex labels the product for professional users only
  • Apply to the lower half of the hoof and sole, avoiding the coronary band and frog
  • Use daily for one week, then twice weekly

250 mL bottle. Keratex's safety data sheet carries the signal word Danger and classifies it as toxic if swallowed, causing severe skin burns and eye damage, and a category 1B carcinogen.
