Hygain Tru Gain is a high fat conditioning supplement in a 20kg bag, added to an existing ration to build condition and coat shine.
- Contains 20 per cent highly digestible fat as an energy dense, slow release fuel
- Steam extruded to gelatinise starch and improve breakdown in the small intestine
- Enhanced vitamin E with bio-available selenium
The elevated fat content also supports skin and coat condition, which makes it a common choice during show and sales preparation. Feed as part of a balanced, forage based ration.
What is in it
- Hygain's declared analysis lists digestible energy at 17.5 MJ/kg, protein at 11%, fat at 20% and fibre at 18%.
- Hygain's ingredient list: protein meals, cereals, canola oil, rice bran oil, calcium carbonate, natural vitamin E and bio-available selenium.
Good to know
- Hygain advises introducing Tru Gain gradually over 7 to 14 days, feeding it by weight rather than volume, and feeding little and often because of the horse's small stomach capacity.
- Hygain says to keep roughage at a minimum of 1.5% of bodyweight daily and to adjust the amount fed for the individual horse's age, breed, activity level and body condition.
- The Easy Pets pack is 20kg.
