Cal Plus is a complementary mineral feed from Equine Products Ireland, formulated for broodmares, yearlings and foals. The manufacturer describes it as the leading broodmare and young horse supplement in Europe.

  • Contains calcium, phosphorus, sodium, magnesium and copper
  • 150 mg of copper per dose, which the manufacturer states means no additional copper is required
  • Contains vitamin D3, which the manufacturer states is essential for the horse to absorb calcium and phosphorus, and vitamin K3 for bone metabolism
  • Formulated to support the developing foetus and foal, healthy bones, skeletal development and a healthy gut

Add to the normal feed ration. One scoop is 140 g. The manufacturer rates are 140 g a day for mares and 70 g a day for foals and yearlings, which makes the 10 kg pack a 71 day supply for a mare or 142 days for a foal or yearling. Store in a cool, dry place. Refer to the pack for the full analytical constituents.
