CopRice Veteran is a wholesome, balanced feed designed specifically for aged horses, working or retired, supplied in a 20 kg bag.
- Crude protein min 17 percent, energy min 15 MJ digestible energy per kg, crude fat min 14 percent
- Rich in stabilised rice bran, with wholegrain rice, soybean meal and linseed
- Lysine at 8 g and methionine at 3 g per kg, plus omega 9, omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids
- Organic selenium, added vitamin C at 100 mg per kg, vitamin E at 280 mg per kg and yeast culture
Introduce into the ration gradually over two weeks. Feed alongside ample forage, at least 1.5 to 2 percent of bodyweight daily as pasture, hay or chaff. The manufacturer feeding guide for a 500 kg horse is 0.5 kg to 1.0 kg a day at maintenance, 1.0 kg to 1.5 kg in light exercise and 2.0 kg to 2.5 kg in moderate exercise. Adjust for dentition and condition, and make clean, fresh water and salt available at all times.
