What is in the range

• 4CYTE Epiitalis Forte for Dogs: the gel with the stronger concentration of Epiitalis, given once daily in feed by bodyweight. 50 mL (with dosing syringe), 100 mL and 200 mL bottles.
• 4CYTE Canine Granules: Epiitalis plus New Zealand green lipped mussel, abalone and marine cartilage, added to food with the scoop supplied. 50 g and 100 g bags.

Which 4CYTE product for which animal

Dogs have two options. 4CYTE describes the Forte gel as its stronger Epiitalis concentration and points dogs with prior sensitivity to marine products, or a sensitive stomach, toward it; the granules suit owners who want the marine ingredients for gut and coat as well as joints. Cats get their own Forte formulation, which 4CYTE says is safe for cats that may be allergic to marine-based products. Horses have the Forte gel for a loading-then-maintenance routine, or the granules for everyday feed-additive use.

How the dosing works

Every 4CYTE product is dosed by bodyweight and given once a day in food. The dog gel runs from 0.5 mL a day for a dog under 10 kg to 3 mL for a dog over 50 kg; the cat gel is 0.5 mL under 5 kg and 1 mL over; the horse gel is 8 mL a day for 14 days then 4 mL for a 600 kg horse. The granules use a scoop guide with a higher loading amount first and a lower maintenance amount after. Buying tips

Work out the monthly volume before choosing a bottle: a 30 kg dog on 2 mL a day uses 60 mL a month, so the 200 mL bottle is the economical choice and the 50 mL bottle is a two-and-a-half week trial.
